I'm trying to setup a windows box with Kodi using MPC-HC to leverage MadVR. I've been using XBMC/Kodi for a while and always been successful in modifying a playercorefactory.xml in using external players like MX Player.Select your Chromecast and the video will begin streaming to your Chromecast! The only change in xml file you need to make is the location of PotPlayer exe file in your computer. Both the xml file I used and the location is included in that folder which I linked at the first word of this comment. Default settings = Deleting any player config xml file you added / existing at the said location.
Location for adding additional player to play using is = User/AppData/Roaming/kodi/userdataĢ- There is NO default xml file in this case. This is not same compared to replacing default player. There are three things you should keep in mind here.ġ- First and foremost is the location. This is my setup for adding POTPLAYER as an additional external player which can only be accesses through PLAY USING context menu.
